Bake O Clock

The problem

Cakes are made to order, not picked off a shelf. A standard store would happily take a payment for a three-tier cake at 6pm for delivery the next morning — a promise the kitchen physically could not keep.

What we built

A store where delivery slots are calculated from the product, not the calendar. Each item carries its own lead time, and the checkout only offers windows the kitchen can actually meet given what is already in the queue for that day.

The hard part

Different products need different notice. A cupcake box is same-day; a custom celebration cake is three days. The slot picker had to combine the lead times of everything in the cart and offer the earliest window that satisfies all of them, without confusing the customer with the reasoning.

What it runs on

WooCommerce for the catalogue, cart and payments, with custom scheduling logic on top and Singapore payment methods configured at checkout.
